| Bob's Barbershop |
| This wonderfully quaint barbershop was located in a very small town in Minnesota. I had been past it many times as it was "homebase" to a summer cabin I grew up with as a kid, but had never noticed the shop nestled back under the trees. I became aware of, and studied the scene, while waiting for the wife to quit shopping in the summer of 1977. The more I observed, the more I appreciated the serene nostalgia feeling. Some of the best photographic subjects are completely serendipitous, never posed or contrived. It's now gone, replaced by a large retirement complex. |
